About Fatima Patel

I teach Grade 10 to 12 maths and physical sciences, online and in person around southern Johannesburg. Fourteen years of it, most of them spent with learners who had been told they were "not maths people". They usually were — they had just missed something in Grade 9 that nobody went back for. I work through past papers relentlessly in the last term. Last year 22 of my 25 matrics got a distinction.

  A twelve-week programme built for a school in Eldorado Park. The Grade 12 maths pass rate went from 54% to 81% in one year.
