For freelancers
Do the work. Get paid.
The worst part of freelancing in South Africa is chasing an invoice that is sixty days late. On Talent Bridge the money is already in escrow before you open the brief.
The money is there before you start
You do not start work on a promise. The client funds the contract first, and you can see that it is funded — so the question stops being whether they will pay and becomes only when.
Paid in rands, to a South African account
No foreign currency, no conversion spread, no waiting for an international transfer to clear. Payouts go by EFT to your own bank, and there is no charge to withdraw.
Verification that means something
Show us an ID once and get a lime badge on your profile. It is optional and free, and it is the cheapest way to be picked over an identical unverified bid.
Sealed bidding
Nobody sees your number but the client. You are pricing the work, not undercutting whoever bid before you.
Someone reads both sides
If a client refuses to approve work that meets the brief, raise a dispute. We read the brief, the delivery and the messages. A client cannot simply keep your work and their money.
A profile that does the selling
Portfolio, skills, rate, rating and completed jobs on one public page — indexed by search engines, and yours to link to from anywhere.
What it costs you
10%
Deducted from each contract when the payment is released to you. Bid R12 000, receive R10 800. Nothing up front, nothing monthly, nothing to withdraw your earnings, and nothing at all on work that gets refunded.

- Answer the brief, not a generic one. Clients can tell a template. Two sentences about their actual problem beats four paragraphs about you.
- Show the closest thing you have done. One relevant portfolio piece is worth more than eight unrelated ones. Put it first.
- Price the work, not the competition. Bids are sealed, so racing to the bottom wins you a job you resent and a review that says so.
- Get verified early. Between two similar bids, the verified one gets picked. It takes five minutes and costs nothing.
A word about EFT
Sooner or later a client will suggest paying you directly to save the fee. It sounds like 10% in your pocket. It is not.
Off the platform there is no escrow, so you are back to invoicing a stranger and hoping. There is no record of what was agreed, so a disagreement is your word against theirs. There is no dispute process, and there is nothing we can do to help — not because we will not, but because we will have no evidence and no money to apply a decision to.
The people who most want to pay you off-platform are, in our experience, the people most likely not to. Keep it here.
